Becoming
a UHop driver
We take care of our drivers by ensuring their optimal financial, physical, and psychological wellbeing.

There are numerous payout options you can choose from when you become a UHop driver.
First, you must provide your contact details, driver’s license, and other documents that varies from location to another.
Safety is a top priority for us, so we’ll run a background check to review your driving history.
Finally, if you wish to use your own car, it will need to undergo a UHop inspection to make sure it’s in great condition.

Getting
on the road
Simply open your UHop app.
You will be alerted on screen when there is a trip request close by you.
To accept the trip, tap the button within x seconds.
To decline the trip, tap the decline button, this will send the request to a different driver.
It’s your choice when and where you drive.
If you want some guidance, the UHop app can provide you with advice on the best times to drive and the busiest areas.
The UHop Driver Guide is full of advice on how to maximize your success on the road.
Your rider’s name and destination will appear on your app once you’re notified of the pickup location.
Always confirm their name and their destination with them when they enter the vehicle.
You should always take your riders preferred route.
It’s acceptable to cancel bookings if you have an emergency or concerns about safety.
Any passenger who books and doesn’t show up can be charged a no-show fee that you will receive through your total earnings.
Any passenger who cancels their ride more than X minutes after booking will be charged a cancellation fee.
You must wait for X minutes.
Check the messaging function on your app to see if they have reached out to you.
If you must, you can call them through the app.
You can make the requested stops.
Just keep the trip going and your rider will be charged for the time it takes to make the necessary drop-offs.
If you passenger is paying with cash, they will cover the tolls.
If you passenger is paying through their account or e-wallet, you will bear the cost and be reimbursed.
No. Third parties are not allowed in the car while you’re offering ride-hailing services.
Yes. Your tips are yours to keep, whether they are added via the app or are gifted to you in cash.
Try to restart the app. If that fails, contact us immediately.

Safety
and security
Safety is our top priority.
We provide 24/7 support and x insurance for all our drivers.
As a UHop driver, you will always use your seatbelt.
If a passenger doesn’t put theirs on, please request that they do before driving.
You must have a fitted child car seat for every child you carry.
Unless you are one of our specially certified Junior Drivers, you cannot transport an unsupervised minor (a person under 18 year).
Age requirement may vary in different countries/cities, check your local city requirement.
Yes, when you become a UHop driver you will receive a list of service centers in your locality where you can maintain your vehicle at discounted rates.
UHop provides insurance policies that don’t cost our drivers anything.
We partner with some of the world’s leading insurance providers for coverages such as commercial auto liability insurance up to $XM per occurrence, contingent comprehensive and collision insurance for drivers who also have this coverage on their personal policies, and bodily injury coverage in cases where it’s caused by uninsured or underinsured motorists.
